Newcomer Tactics for Pai Gow Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the west in an excellent game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the dealer, not like most other poker games that players bet against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to worry about other, more knowledgeable gamblers winning their $$$$.

One more Pai Gow benefit is the relatively leisurely game pace, rookies can take their time and scheme while not having to make hasty choices.

It’s also simpler to gamble on for a long time with basically a little amount of money after all, to lose, each of your hands must be under each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is given 7 cards face up and the casino is given 7 cards face down.

One five card hand and a two card hand have to be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the dealer’s.
