Ah, the poker steam. If a poker player claims never to have looked down the shadow of an upcoming steam – they are either telling a lie or they have not been playing long enough. This does not mean obviously that everyone has been on tilt before, a number of players have awesome control and take their losses as a hit and keep it at that. Awful defeats are bound to happen. It is an inevitable experience of participating in Holdem, or for that matter any kind of poker.
After all we are assumingly (nearly all of us) in the game for a single reason – to acquire a profit, it does make sense that we will wager appropriately to maximize our profit potential. Now let’s say you are up one hundred dollars off of a $100 deposit, and you suffer a big hit in a No Limits game and your stack is down to $120. You have lost $80 in a hand where you should have picked up $200two hundred dollars when you went all-in on the flop and had a 10 – 1 advantage. And that fiend!
