Howard Lederer grew up in a family of five in which he loved participating in different card games at a young age. He discovered himself getting really competitive in these card games as he was competing against his dad. After finishing high school, Howard made a decision to place college on hold for a little bit and moved away to New York City to participate in some serious chess. While playing chess, he was brought in to a poker game taking place in the rear of the room. Howard’s 1st 2 years were tough as he played countless hours and do not win a majority of the time. Howard told Annie to move out to Vegas and play in the WSOP tournaments. She is one of the greatest female players the poker arena has ever seen. Howard headed to Vegas in 1993 and competed in money games for the successive decade. When the World Poker Tournament grew in popularity, Howard decided to play more tournaments.
